Rugby festival for charity

The Llanidloes site was the main sponsor for this year’s Powys rugby festival which raised £12k for a mental health charity.

The site also entered a team on the Saturday for the Rugby 7’s game which included Huw Owen Production Manager who played in the charity match with Mike Phillips against the Flaming Flamingo’s.

Vicky Jones, HR Manager, explained: “The event was a huge hit and I am proud to say lots of our team members supported it. It was also a great day out and a way of not only raising funds but also raising awareness of the wonderful work the charity does. We are already looking forward to next year.”

The Heart of Wales 7s tournament hosted the much-anticipated match with the Mike Phillips Barbarians vs the Flaming Unicorns, a team formed by the mental health charity Tough Enough to Care (TETC).
