What you enjoy about your role:

I have been working within the company for the last 8 years. Most of this time has been spent at our Corsham site where I am lucky enough to have spent some time with some genuinely inspiring people. What I most enjoy is the collaborative way of working which helps us all deliver fantastic new products for our customers. We are always looking at innovative ways to create better products which will help the business grow.

What you enjoy about your role:

Within my role I love working up new recipes and tasting some great products with innovative flavours and concepts. However, the best thing is thinking and creating ideas that transpire into new and exciting products launch in stores. Working with our talented suppliers and external customers focussed on delivering our food agenda, bringing to life concepts, and delivering an innovation pipeline. But most of all eating some wonderfully delicious creations!

What you enjoy about your role:

There are many features I love about my role. From collaborating with my fellow chefs on special events and helping one another, to designing recipes for the products and being a part of the team that want to be the best. This pushes me to be better and I am not one to shy away from a challenge.

My role keeps me on my toes so to speak, it keeps me interested because my days can be so different depending on what’s going on or where I must be.

I also cannot forget the team allow me to be me, I don’t have to hide my personality which leaves me nothing but respect, for all of them!

Cornwall has a strong heritage of making its own bacon using only the best local recipes, when Roach Foods began producing bacon and gammon in 1960, they continued this long tradition.

60 years later and many of the cures and techniques used today are those that were developed by the Roach family.
