BBC Good Food Award

We are pleased to announce that our Waitrose Slow Cooked Ultimate Crackling Pork Belly Feast was recently crowned Best Alternative Christmas Main at the BBC Good Food Awards 2022.

The luxury product, which is produced in Corsham, was described as ‘everything pork belly should be’ by judges’ which includes super tender and juicy meat – all of which is complemented by the accompanying apple sauce which has a hint of spicing.

Matt Casey, Head of Customer Innovation & Culinary, explained: “This is a huge honour and an award which pays tribute to the quality and concept behind this product. BBC Good Food is well known in the food industry and to bag any award with its approval is amazing.”

Pork belly slow cooked and served with crisp pork crackling – ready to eat in 30 minutes. It was shortlisted as an alternative for Christmas which faced stiff competition but came top.
